Jason Marshall, RKC II, CK-FMS

     Originally from Wilson, TX, Jason has always had a passion for strength, sports and exercise. He participated in every sport that was offered to him during his childhood and teenage years (Football, Basketball, Track and Field, Tennis, Soccer, Baseball and Golf).
His passion for strength and the development of the human body continued into college where he earned a BS in Exercise and Sport Science from Texas Tech University. Since then he has continued to broaden his knowledge in the strength game by participating in power lifting meets with current competition bests of: Squat – 452 lbs., Bench – 320 lbs., and Dead Lift – 562 lbs. – All unequipped at 191 lbs. body weight. He has recently dropped to the 181 lb weight class with recent competition bests of: Squat - 446 lbs., Bench - 297 lbs., and Dead Lift - 551 lbs., Unequipped at 178 lbs. body weight. He also placed second in the Light Weight Deadlift Only Division at the 3rd annual Raw Unit Meet in Tampa Bay, FL with a pull of 573 lbs at 177lbs body weight.

With the help of the Kettlebell, Jason is now able to practice his passion for teaching in addition to learning as much as he can about the benefits and many uses of the Kettlebell. He also currently enjoys several hobbies which include Golf, Mountain Biking and Snowboarding.
His list of accomplishments include earning an Instructor Certification for the Russian Kettlebell Challenge by Master of Sports, Pavel Tsatsouline in St. Paul, MN as well as being asked back to the RKC Instructor Course as an Assistant Instructor, which is a huge honor. He also completed the certification requirements from the CK-FMS (Certified Kettlebell-Functional Movement Specialist) Workshop, taught by Gray Cook, RKC and Brett Jones, MRKC. Most recently, Jason earned his Level II RKC Certification which ranks him among a small group of elite kettlebell instructors in the country. Promotion to RKC Team Leader in March 2010.
